SDA Smart Homes

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommadation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.These are not support services, but the homes in which they are delivered.   • Am I eligible for SDA:    

      Yes,  If you have "an extreme functional impairment" or "very high support needs".   

               If you have SDA needs requirement.

               If SDA is reasonable and necessary for you.

         

   

Basic SDA

For People who prefer to remain in their current group home.This would also not include special design features such as ceiling hoists and wheelchair access.

Fully Accessible Housing SDA

Platinum standard under "liveable Housing Australia" for people with significant physical impairment.Features may include Wheelchair access, automated doors and windows etc

High Physical Support SDA

This option caters to people needing high level of personal support.It is a "Fully accessible Housing specialist design SDA" with added features of ceiling hoist, assistive technology and house hold communication technology.

Improved Liveability Housing SDA

Member having having sensory, intellectual or cognitive impairment.This facility provides special design features such as increased luminance & improved wayfinding etc

Robust Housing SDA

For people with complex behaviors which at times might be considered as risk to themselves or others.Features include impact-resistant materials,sound proof walls and laminated glass
